About The Farm

Askeland Farm

History

Askeland Farm on Osterøy, outside Bergen, is likely to have been a farm since early in the late iron age (550-1050).Before the Viking age started. It has now been divided into several farms.

The farm we have has been in the same family as far back as it is possible to follow the books. We are then in early 1500.

This is quite extraordinary, even in Norway.

The farm is now run by Arne Askeland and Linda Fosse, and it is an Organic farm with Wild Sheep, Horses and highland Cattle. You can read more about Linda & Arne here.

Earlier we also sold Christmas trees i Bergen, but now Arne cut the trees into sculptures instead. He is a pasionate Chainsaw Carver. (www.motorsagkunst.no)

The farm is also the “home” of the famous HAUS Wool Slipper. A high quality product we are very proud of to present.

From the 1st of December 2015 HAUS Wool Slippers is available for a limited number on Amazon, .
